Training Weekend #4

If you remember I was ill last week do I couldn’t trained properly. This week I’ve done 22 miles on tuesday evening and today, 54 miles. Let be honest, I’m knackered.

I left at 9.20 this morning to go to Richmond Park, roads weren’t too busy and the sun was shining, a perfect day in London to go cycling, until around 10.30am, when the wind started to go crazy. Rode 4 laps at Richmond Park (clockwise), I was feeling a bit tired after 4 laps (+the way to go to Richmond Park) but confident.

However the way back was a nightmare, riding along the Thames, it was soooo windy. I properly struggled to keep my average speed and my stamina was going down miles after miles, I was very close to stop to rest a bit, as the wind was really slowing my down. But I didn’t.

Finally arrived home after 3h30 spent on the bike non-stop. Legs are heavy, and I’ve got this ridiculous sleeves tan… But it was a good training day I guess. Need to do at least the same mileage next week, plus one lap.

I also need to look closer to the route I want to ride on, and book my hotels. Check this morning stats below, they’re going up!!
